For this evening, the five things that I have acxomplished are having meeting with my team mates to discuss about our economic project. Second thing, I have done part of my marketing journal which I just finished my class today so what I have learned today still fresh in my mind.  Third, I also did part of the leadership essay which I dropped down the ideas I have for the essay.  Forth, after working on my homeworks and revision, I hung out with my friends to celebrate one of my friends birthday and lastly, I went home and started to fix my internet connections which had been out of service for a day.  Hence, these are the five things that I have accomplished today on 23rd November.

proposal for my final individual paper

My title for my individual paper is gonna be "Effects of population density".

The topic is mainly about population density and in which the question will be"what are the effects of too high or too low population density". And I will explain in the paper breifly the effects in three points which are the security, resources allocation and development. Like how the high population or low population affects the world and cause some of the problems in the world.  Also, I will put some research on why there is high population density or too low population density.

The result of leadership motivation assessment said I had a score of 50, in which it saidI am uncentrainty over my motivation to lead.  I quite agree with this as sometimes I do not have much confident to lead the team and also this test tells me that I need to be more centrain over my motivation to lead the team so that makes me achieve my goal successfully and easily.

I also agree with this result of the burnout test.  It is so because I got 32 marks in this test and it said I have little sign of burnout and unless some factors are particularly severe.  I sometimes maybe burnout when things do not go well.  But after this test, it helps me and reminds me of the factors that I should beware of in order to avoid myself from burnout.

I am a bit disagree with the test as I am not that active enought, but this test has reminded me what I need to beware of and who I really am when maybe solving problems or facing or leading a team.  This really helps me also when judging a thing.

The customer revolution - Patricia Seybold

This video clip is telling about the customer revolution is to measure what matters for the customers as it is in an era that customers are in control.  So the company is responsible for producing a unique brand or the experience that the customers are resonated with.  Hence, these companies are the ones who can understand what customers need and when they have the right direction on what customers' needs, they can extend their operation in producing better products for the customers.  On the other hand, the companies not only let the customers enjoy the experience they have with the products but also with the services, such as supporting.  As mentioned in the video, apple retail experience is a good example which can give customers a good experience like they provide customers good experience with the products and services in which customers know the apple company has what they want and it gives them an efficient shopping.

I think this video is relevant with Macau as Macau has many retail business that does not really understand and give what customers really need.  Maybe it can only fulfill one the customers with the products but sometimes without the services.  If the businesses in Macau can produce unique products with good service.  In this case, I think the businesses will go well which customers have good experiences with company and they will spread to others about the company and soon that company will have more profit.  Therefore, knowing what customers really need is important for a business.

My dream

My dream of my life is that I would like to be a successful director in human resources department of a good reputation company.  Also, to be that kind of person, of course, I need to be knowledgeable in doing that.  That is important for me is because I admire people who can control or lead the department as a director, even in human resources department, they need to control the employees for the whole company for who to employ and who not to employ.  That is why I think being a director in human resources department is important for me.  I am of course doing my best to achieve this position, as I am currently studying business administration and specialize in global management, so that I think I can learn more things about being a leader of a team in which to become a good director.

Furthermore, I think what is preventing me from achieving my dream is my laziness.  Sometimes, I am too lazy not to read so much books to learn more stuff to achieve what I want, but then, now I am improving to overcome my laziness.  I seldom read a book before, but then now I am forcing myself to read a least one page or one article per day to make my knowledge stronger.  In addition, I think after this LBA course, I will keep studying or like half study half work till PHD to make myself qualified enough to become a director in the future.  Also, despite of continuing my studies, I will also apply for jobs like working in human resources department which I have already experienced that this year and I would like to experience different kinds of work in human resources department in the near future.  Therefore, these are what I think I could do to get closer to my dream.

Difficult problem

I still remember that one of the difficult problem that I faced before in my life is I had a fight with my best friend and my parents.  Back then when I was in high school, there was a time I became a bad girl in which I went out till night after school and even answer back my parents.  I guess that was just because I was a rebellious girl in junior high.  At that time, the most difficult problem was the communications between me and my parents and one of the best friends.  My parents always scolded me because of me behaving bad and my best friend tried to give me some advice not to go against my parents and be a good girl, etc.  However, maybe she had given too much advice which made me felt so annoying, that is why we had a fight and did not talk to each other.  

After a few months, I changed back to a good girl.  I solved this problem because my mother cried because of what I did which hurt her.  That is why I felt ashamed and promised my parents not to be bad again and will always listen to them.  Well, after that problem, we never had a block or obstacles between our communications.  On the other hand, I apologized to my best friend which I know she just wants to protect me and wants me to be good.  Though we are still friends now, but then not that close anymore, I was a bit regret about this.  My emotions at that time was up and down, not really stable cause I was happy when I am with my friends outside, but having a fight with my best friend and parents which who I most wanted to share my things with made me feel really bad.  Actually I think God did help me throughout this difficult problem, He tried to tell me who really treats me good and who is not.  I know he did not tell me straightly but then he did give me some hints.  For example, one time when I wanted to go out late at night, my parents asked me not to go, suddenly my  aunt called me to help her do something which is really important, that is why I did not go out that night.  In addition to that, that night which I was supposed to go out, those friends (my outside bad friends), tried to do something illegal, so I feel so lucky did not go out that night.  That is why my difficult problem is solved and I never meet those bad friends again.

3rd China Catering Expo

The company that I have interviewed is called the Palatium Fine Wines, which is mainly selling Portuguese wines to Asia to introduce the best wines from Portuguese.  The vision of the company is that to import the best with good quality, new and old Portuguese wines to Asia, to introduce the best wines of their own region.   Moreover, the mission of the company is mainly to introduce Portuguese wines mostly from different regions, such as, Lisbon, Porto, Madeira, Douro and Alentejo. They are going to introduce their wines to China then to Asia, but they are not only focusing on Macau as Macau has already known most of the Portuguese best wines, but to the big market, China. Also, they even exhibit the oldest wine there which is from the Madeira in 1912.

In addition, the strategy of  the company is mainly focus on one thing which is marketing.  They think that to do a good marketing, people will know your products and want to try on your new products.  Therefore, they joined this year Catering Expo is to let other enterprises to know their company which can lead them to cooperate with each other.  Also, this can help their way to promote their products to China as well.   Furthermore, they think their company is different from the others is that their company is small and so they can put all efforts to their customers.  In fact, this is more personalized in which they can have better follow up in business.  In addition to that, they are not afraid of doing marketing and to make their own products a little bit difference from others.   They already have set up company in Shanghai.  Hence, in the coming one to three years, their plan is to open up their company out of China, such as in Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.
